Probably one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. I love that it is family-owned and everyone was so friendly. A few friends and I went for a belated birthday celebration for one of our girlfriends. None of us had ever been, but we left wanting to come back. We couldn't stop talking about the ambience and friendliness. The live-music was a bonus as well. Pictured is the infused fruit tea, oreo cupcake, chocolate pie, cheescake, and vanilla ice cream. Highly recommend the chocolate pie and fruit infused tea.
The location is great with professional staff & excellent food. I was referred for an impromptu 64 birthday dinner with 14 bowling friends while visiting Chattanooga. The staff was very accommodating & friendly. The entertainment was absolutely wonderful. This was a great experience & we will go back again.
My husband and I have lived in the area going on 4 years.. we dine out often and honestly have had a hard time finding what I call "A Cheers" kind of place that has good food too..that was until we ate here last night.. Service wonderful, vibe amazing, let me tell you about the food!!! I had the spiked lemonade by far the best I have ever had..due to the fact they make the specialty juices fresh, I had the Lamb chops and gave up being lady like and picked it up and started to go to town..it was that good..a combination of flavors, and portion sizes..awesome Hubby had the pot roast, melt in your mouthouse tender Dessert ended the meal on just the right note What made the evening special is the conversation, fun and laughs we shared with the whole staff / family.. Thank you for making our anniversary so special.
The food was amazing and tasty OMG!!! Alyssa and the whole staff provided world class customer service! My family came on a Friday night and they had live music and the piano player and the woman singing jazz was phenomenal!!!
1st time I ordered from here and it won’t be my last. I want to try everything on the menu. Seriously. I ordered the Pot roast with mash potatoes and gravy with Mac n cheese. It was so amazing. I ate it slow just to savor the flavor. Best mashed potatoes I ever had. Almost had me licking the foil lol Tye Mac n cheese is gooey and flavorful. Pot roast had no fat in it and was just so tasty. 10/10 If you haven’t tried this place out, I suggest you do. Cheesecake was perfect.
So, this was my second time dining in......was exactly what i remembered....over the top food not at all what you are expecting....also...had my wife dancing like a little kid that is enjoying their food....was great....give it a go for sure.....be careful those drinks taste so good you don't expect them to hit like they do!!! Oh yeah i made sure to take a picture of the food we had left!!!!
I was absolutely very pleased with my 1st experience at this establishment! Black Excellence was presented on all fronts, from the entrance, seating availability on a very cold & windy Friday nite! Tom & Zowie offered the best in acoustic Neo-soul!! The owners, Cynthia & Antonia spent a lil time chatting w/us, making us feel welcomed & sharing the family lineage! This was my bday wknd spent w/dear friends & new acquaintances. I highly recommend dining here, stop in at the bar, great atmosphere for everyone to feel welcome! Very warm & cozy. Visiting from GA & definitely plan to return!!!! Ladies, hats off, take a bow...
LEMME JUST TELL YALL ABOUT THIS RESTAURANT WE JUST WENT TO.. From the time you walk in til the time you walk out, it's nothing but love from every person in the place! The atmosphere, the vibes, the people, the music, the drinks, THE FOOD was just *AMAZING* We were shocked that we found a place that serves real deal soul food here in this area. If you've never been, I suggest you go there ASAP. I promise you will not be disappointed. It's 100% family owned and operated, and you can feel the love in the food, and that's what soul food is all about. They also have live music later in the evening, we'll have to go back to experience that. I didn't get a chance to take a pic of my plate cause I inhaled it, but the Unicorn Punch drink. *I highly suggest it* or the Hennessey Rico Margarita
